Study Guide

For the first practical exam, you should be comfortable doing the following tasks in the lab environment (Bell 340). You are allowed to bring your textbook to the exam to use as reference.

System activities Logging in Opening a web browser Copying a file to your own directory Zipping files Submitting final product		Greenfoot Activities Opening a scenario Running a scenario Adding actors to a scenario (manually) Editing the source code for a class Creating a new actor
In Java source code Creating, using, and assigning values to instance variables Creating and calling methods (including constructors) Using parameters in methods when calling or creating the method definition If statements If-else statements Creating random behaviors Writing a loop to create multiple objects Writing a loop to position objects on the screen Using parameters in the constructor to achieve better abstraction with our objects (piano keys, letter keys, etc.)		Greenfoot-specific code things Moving Turning Looking for edges of the world Detecting if you "can see" another actor Putting actors automatically in the scenario at startup
