1980s Media Coverage
- May, 1988: An article in the cs@buffalo Alumni Newsletter
mentions that
Dr. Russ Miller
was awarded a Best Presentation Award for a talk he gave at the 1987
International Conference on Parallel Processing. The article notes
that there were 170 papers presented at the conference. It also states
that Dr. Miller was responsible for obtaining a grant that allowed
for the acquisition of a hypercube.
- Winter, 1998: An article appears in Scientiae
that mentions that Dr. Russ Miller
has had several papers accepted for conference publication and that
Dr. Miller gave a presentation at the Supercomputing Research Center (SRC).
The article states that the SRC is connected to the National Security Agency.
The article goes on to report that Dr. Miller has had two papers accepted
in a special issues of IEEE Transactions, where only 18 papers were
selected from more than 100 that were submitted. The article also
states that Dr. Miller presented a paper at the IEEE Computer Society
Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition and that the
session included 2 other papers co-authored by Miller. The article concludes
