Dr. Miller is a member of Escher's Enigma (with Brian Miller), a studio project focused on creating and publishing original pop and rock songs that explore the relationship between past and present, fate, fantasy, and family. This is an active area of research that considers publication and dissemination via popular music. These songs are written, arranged, performed, and produced by Brian Miller and Russ Miller.

Escher's Enigma also interprets popular songs by other artists.

Feel free to review the projects on CD Baby, Amazon, and iTunes. Some songs are also available on SoundCloud and ReverbNation. Videos may be found on YouTube.

  • The July 2020 CD When the World is a concept album (i.e., a "rock opera") that considers deities who attend school to learn how to build and control universes. The album explores what happens when the ego of an inexperienced deity collides with the needs of its creation.
  • The August 2016 CD "Interpretations, Vol. 1" consists of interesting interpretations of popular songs in a variety of genres. The songs include Kryptonite (3 Doors Down), Invincible (Pat Benatar), Baba O'Riley (The Who), Let My Love Open the Door (Pete Townshend), Come to Me (Goo Goo Dolls), Enter Sandman (Metallica), and Missed the Boat (Modest Mouse). Videos are available for some of the songs.
