If you are using Netscape, then:
Netscape will bring up a dialog box asking you where to save Karel.
If you are using Internet Explorer, then:
Internet Explorer may ask
you "Run this program from its current location" or "Save this program to disk".
Choose "Save this program to disk".
It will then bring up a "Save As..." Dialog box.
or it may automatically download Karel and then ask you whether you want to run it:
If so, don't run it; just save it.
In either case,
save the program somewhere on your computer.
Make sure you know where it is. (A good place is either on your desktop or in
C:\Programs)
You should have an icon called "Karel" (or possibly "karel.exe")
on your computer. Run that program
by double-clicking on it. This will install Karel the Robot on your computer.
Once you have installed Karel, then, to write Karel programs,
find the Karel icon (labelled "Karel the Robot") that looks like Karel does, namely, an
upward-pointing arrow. Double-click on it.
To read the online "Lessons", find the Karel icon that looks like Karel does but is
named "Lessons". Double-click on it.
