  1. Link to: "Understanding Plagiarism"

  2. From there, link to "What Is Plagiarism at Indiana University?"

    1. Read the introductory material
    2. Take the quiz (10 items)

  3. At the end of the quiz, link to the "tutorial on how to recognize plagiarism"

  4. Read the introductory material at the "Tutorial Home", then click on "next page"

  5. Read the "Definition of Plagiarism", then click on "next page"

  6. Read the "Overview", then click on "next page"

  7. Browse through the "Plagiarism Cases" (you don't have to read all of them), then click on "next page"

  8. Read the 5 "Word for Word" examples.

  9. Then read the 5 "Paraphrasing" examples, and then click on "Next: Practice"

  10. Do the 10 "Practice" exercises, and then click on "Next: Test"

  11. Read the Test instructions; then take the "test for NON-Indiana University students"

  12. At the end of the test, click on "Evaluate my answers for a possible certificate"

  13. If you pass the test,
    then print out your certificate
    & hand it in to me UPDATED 1 week from today
    else retake the test until you pass it!

  14. In addition to attending all lectures of CSE 501,
    you must pass this test to pass this course!
