Speakers

Schedule

The workshop will feature talks by the speakers above and a graduate student hour. Here is the schedule.

Graduate Student Hour

Like last year, we will again have a graduate student hour.

On Saturday, September 10, there will be short talks by graduate students from 5-6pm. We will have at most three talks of equal duration in one hour. Preference will be given to students who will graduate by summer of 2012. If you are interested, please email the following information to atri "at" buffalo.edu:

  1. Name.
  2. School.
  3. Expected graduation month.
  4. Advisor.
  5. Research focus.
  6. Title and (short) abstract of the proposed talk.

If we receive more than three proposals, the organizing committee will pick three speakers. Our goal will be to have a diverse set of talks, both in research topics and geographical representation.

The deadline for sending in your nominations is August 15, 2011 and the list of speakers will be finalized by August 20, 2011.

We will cover the registration fees (but not accommodation) for the student speakers.
