Essay Assignment - Picking a Topic

This semester, 10% of your overall course grade will be based on the completion of an essay. Recall that you must have a passing average on the essay component of this course in order to be eligible to pass CSE 115 this semester.

Your first task on your way to completing the essay will be to decide on a topic. You are free to choose whatever topic you wish for this semester's essay, but the topic must fall under the very large umbrella of computing/computers.

For this part of the assignment, you must state (in at most two or three sentences) your choice for the topic for your essay.

Due date

You must type up your sentences and hand this part of the assignment in at the beginning of lecture on Wednesday, September 13th. You must put your name on your submission in order to receive credit.

We will be commenting on your topic choice and returning it back to you. It is very important that you keep your returned paper as you will need to turn it in along with the next phase of the essay assignment.
