CSE 111 - Fall 2010 - In-lecture Activity #1

Welcome to your first assignment for the semester! This assignment has three parts as explained below.

Part One - Syllabus

Read syllabus and confirm that you have read the syllabus and understand the course policies by filling out the electronic confirmation form, located here (no longer available).

Special note: This part will be required of EVERYONE in the class. If you don't fill it out on your own, I will hound you until you do. Also, for those who do not complete the form by it due date (September 13th, 2010), a penalty of significant size will be imposed to your overall course grade for the semester - please be sure to fill out the form.

Part Two - Day Two & Day Three Lecture Attendance

Attend lecture on the second and thrid day of classes (Wednesday, September 1st & Friday, September 3rd).

Part Three - In-Lecture Activity

When you arrive in lecture on Wednesday, you will be given more information about the activity. However, as stated in class on Monday, the activity will involve you working in small groups on a problem involving technology and education/educational practices. You will each receive a worksheet on Wednesday with further details of the work you will be doing with your group. Group participation will be over at the end of lecture Wednesday, but the wrap-up for the activity will most likely continue into Friday's class. There is an individual component to the assignment that you will need to start in between class on Wednesday and Friday and finish in lecture on Friday.

Due Date (Parts 2 & 3)

You will need to turn in the completed worksheet from class on Wednesday at the end of lecture on Friday, September 3rd.
