The grades in the gradebook are now final. Your best 9 homeworks make up 10% of your grade. Your best 9 quizzes make up 20% of your grade. Stage 0 is worth 1%, the other stages 3% each. Each of the exams is weighted equally to make up the other 60% of your grade. If you have a question about your grade, please contact Adrienne immediately. Grades will be submitted to the University on Friday and then will post on MyUB shortly after that.
You should have received an email indicating your grade for Stages 1, 2, & 3 at this time. These grades are posted in the gradebook. Please make sure that your grades are correctly recorded. If you have any questions about the grading of the code, contact Qi via email. At this point, all inputting of grades are final. The overall course grades are not final yet, but all of your grades are now in the gradebook.
Exam 4 grades have now been added to the electronic gradebook. Any extra credit submissions that I have received so far have also been accounted for. All HW grades and Quiz grades have been entered. I have not yet dropped the lowest of either of these two grades.
Please note the change of schedule discussed in class on Monday, April 19th. Recall that the majority vote was to change the date of the exam.
We will have an exam review in class on Friday, April 23rd. The fourth exam will be given on Monday, April 26th during class time. There will not be a final exam and you will not have to report to the assigned room during exam week.
Adrienne's office hours are canceled for Friday.
Here is the link for the web site I was showing in lecture today.
Adrienne's Office Hours on Friday are canceled for this week.
Albert's Help Session for Wednesday, March 31st is canceled for this week only. The Thursday session will still be held.
As decided in class today, the due date for Stage 2 will now be April 4th. The assignment spec has been updated to reflect this change.
The date for Exam 3 has been changed to Wednesday, April 7, 2004. The material on the exam will be the same, but the date will just be different. Please see the Schedule page for new schedule.
I will be out of town from Tuesday (March 2) until Sunday (March 7). Therefore, my office hours will be canceled for this week. Lectures will still meet. If you need assistance, please seek out one of the TAs this week. I *should* be able to read my email at the conference while I am gone, but there are no promises.
In preparation for my being out of town when the TA will grade the exam, I have set up the gradebook in advance to properly reflect your grade after taking Exam 2. As of right now, everyone in the class has a grade of zero (0) for exam 2 and consequently, most people are failing. This is not an accurate reflection of your true grade in the course. After the exam is graded and inputted, the average will accurately reflect your grade in the course.
As announced in class, the due date for Stage 1 has been extended. Please see description for more details.
Albert's help session on Thursdays will be held from 2pm - 3pm in Trailer E (seat 8) for the rest of the semester.
The groups for the semester long project have been set up and should be active the next time you log into the system. Typing 'groups' at the prompt will show your new group memberships.
