If you want to set up Eclipse on your own machine, first download Eclipse 3.6 from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ (choose "Eclipse IDE for Java Developers").
Next, download the file dropins.zip, then unzip it. Place its contents into the Dropins folder of the Eclipse installation.
GO BACK TO THE DIRECTIONS IN LAB 1, and follow any setup directions again. EVEN IF YOU ALREADY DID IT IN LAB. You need to set up the Eclipse enviroment on your machine again just as you did on the lab machines.
If you will simply do all of your work on your own computer or on the lab computer, you are all set. However, if you want to do some work in the lab and some on your own machine, you will need to learn how to import/export files from Eclipse. See this page for information on how to import/export, and this page for information on how to transfer the files from the servers in the lab to your own machine and vice versa.
If you are going to submit your work from your own machine, then you also need to create a VPN connection BEFORE trying to submit. If you do not have the University's VPN client, you can download and install it from this page.
