Robert G. Church
Church is beginning a project to extend the work of Hans Chalupsky in defeasible simulative reasoning for user modeling by natural language competent agents. He will investigate the use of credibility orderings, of the sort being investigated by Johnson and Bhushan, to implement the various belief levels Chalupsky used to distinguish beliefs about another agent's beliefs derived from simulative reasoning from beliefs about that agent's beliefs derived from directly being told by that agent.
