About the Series

Launched in Fall 2022, the CSE Workshop Series is a student-centered, faculty-led initiative designed to extend learning beyond the classroom and build practical, industry-relevant skills across computing from theoretical foundations to modern software development and AI. Each semester, students take on active roles as speakers, event managers, and coordinators, gaining valuable experience in technical communication and mentorship. Sessions are structured around active learning principles: attendees write and run code, complete hands-on exercises, and engage in discussions spanning algorithms, systems, software engineering, databases, security, and AI.
