CSE 101 -- Computers -- A General Introduction -- Syllabus

Information
This course is designed to teach you the fundamental concepts of computing, and to familiarize you with popular software packages such as Microsoft Office. You will learn your way around the computing environment at UB as well as exploring the world of the Internet. Some students in this course are very computer savvy, while others may be wondering what a mouse is. We strive to provide all students with an interesting environment in which to learn about the most powerful tool ever created: the computer. Skills covered in
the course include MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Windows NT,
unix, Visual Basic (very elementary), web browsing, email, ftp, telnet, and HTML (web page construction).
