On Friday, we will discuss the nature of programs as scientific theories, and, on Monday, we will discuss the relationship of programs to the world. The updated syllabus is at: http://www.cse.buffalo.edu/~rapaport/584/S07/syl.html#dates Because of this change, I am revising the reading assignments. Don't worry if you fall a bit behind; I'll give you a chance to catch up later. For Friday's class, it would be useful if you would read the required readings on programs as theories. (There are 3 short quotes, and a fascinating chapter by Herbert Simon.) This revised reading assignment is at: http://www.cse.buffalo.edu/~rapaport/584/S07/readings.html#arecomprogstheories There is also a new reading assignment for next Monday, at: http://www.cse.buffalo.edu/~rapaport/584/S07/readings.html#limits
