Subject: Reading Journals From: "William J. Rapaport" Date: Fri, 16 Apr 2010 12:43:03 -0400 (EDT) A student writes: "I received my reading journals back from you today. You said I did a good job, but was missing some of the entries. I didn't see a grade anywhere and was wondering if I did receive a grade or if I should fill in the missing entries and hand it in again?" Reply: I'm not grading them. If I was really unhappy with one, I clearly indicated that on it when I returned it. (Yours was fine, though, as I indicated, you seemed to be missing some entries--just a statement of fact, not an evaluation; no need to hand it in again.) When I send around the grading algorithm, you'll see how I'll handle this.
