Subject: Re: Position Paper Revisions From: "William J. Rapaport" Date: Mon, 3 May 2010 11:07:51 -0400 (EDT) A student writes: "After doing a revision on my paper, i was wondering if it is ok to completely change where i stand for an opinion. I decided to rewrite PP5 and when i was writing it i believed that it was not possible for computers to think like computers but now i think differently after some of the topics we covered in the remaining classes after PP5. Basically what my question is, is that what are the revisions you are looking for? just fixes on the initial final copy or can a complete rewrite be done to try and get a better grade?" Reply: Yes, you can completely change your position on the revision, for a higher grade. However, I have also allowed you to regain lost points for things like poor citation format, etc.; on those, all you should do is fix the errors.
