Transitive, Bitransitive and Reflexive verbs require a receiver of the action to complete their meaning
Bitransitive
If an agent acts on an object and there is an indirect object of the action.
Example: "John drove the car home."
Transitive
If an agent acts on an object.
Example: "John drove the car."
Reflexive (after reflexive pronouns like myself, yourself, himself, etc.)
If an agent acts on itself.
Example: "John hated himself."

Intransitive verbs do not require a receiver of the action to complete their meaning.
Intransitive
If an agent acts.
Example: "John fished in the stream."
