Shamsad Parvin is a faculty member in the Computer Science and Engineering department at SUNY Buffalo (UB). Before joining UB, she was an Assistant professor at the Computer and Information Technology Department of SUNY Morrisville. Dr. Parvin also worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of New Mexico (UNM) and New Mexico State University (NMSU). She received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Electro-Communication Tokyo, Japan. She worked under Professor Fujii Takeo director of the Advanced Wireless Communication Research Center (AWCC) . She also received her MS degree from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Her academic contributions and research expertise span multiple institutions and international collaborations, supported by a strong record of publications, awards, and curriculum design. Her research interests cover Wireless Communications, Mobile Ad hoc and sensor networks, Cognitive radio networks, Routing protocols, Wireless Sensor Networks, Distributed data computing, Big data, Machine learning, Cooperative communication, Computer Education etc.
