Prior and Related Work
There has been much recent work on embedded systems education. Koopman et al. of Carnegie Mellon University(CMU) presents an extensive study of the status of embedded system education. The CMU group discusses the diverse approaches in twelve dierent embedded application areas, including cross-cutting embedded skills areassuch as real-time systems and energy-aware computing, andconcludes with a list of lesson learned. The guiding principles for Project Nexos closely follow this list of lessons learned.
