>>Jun. 2012: Prof. Sadek successfully organized a workshop at UB on Connected Vehicles Test-bed Development and Integration with dedicated sessions for speakers from the government, automobile industry, IT and Telecom industries and academia.

Prof. Qiao delivered a talk titled "On Challenges and Opportunities in Cyber-Transportation Systems" at this event. The workshop was sponsored by USDOT's University Transportation Research Center (UTRC) Region II (which covers NY, NJ and other states), UB, Rutgers University, Calspan and Silver Lining.

>> Dec. 2011: A NYSCEDII Showcase event was held on Dec 9, 2011. Dr Sadek presented the Cyber Transportation project to the attendees, which included several prominent people from the New York State assembly, academia and industry. In particular, Prof. Qiao spoke on the Academic Panel Academics Panel and they attended other two panels: 1) Open Experimental Platforms and Challenge Problems and 2) Human in the loop: Role of humans in the system.
