CHAPTER 27: LOCAL VARIABLES
Notes
  1. Read Chapter 27

  2. On page 197, I say, "What we have not yet seen is a way to introduce one or more new local, lexically scoped variables that will be used only within the body of a single function." In the course notes, however, I have told you about one such way---&optional arguments. In this chapter, you will learn about another way.

  3. Do Exercises 27.1 - 27.8. After doing Exercise 27.8, compare your definition of quicksort with the one in Appendix A.

  4. Create a file named ch27.cl containing a definition of quicksort according to the specifications in Exercise 27.9. Make sure this is in the ch27 package. Submit this file.
