Objective assessment across hearing loss and hearing disorders remains difficult outside specialized audiology settings, particularly when tests require active responses. This project investigates AI methods using two complementary physiological signals: the auditory pupil response and around-the-ear EEG. Mobile pupil-sensing studies, including AudioPupil and AudioSight, examine sound-evoked changes for hearing-loss screening and sound-sensitivity assessment. Wearable EEG studies examine auditory neural responses associated with tinnitus and hyperacusis. The research aims to identify reliable markers and evaluate them against standard audiology assessments for use in clinical and home settings.
