Bio

Jingjing Meng is affiliated with the Computer Science and Engineering Department at SUNY Buffalo and Amazon. Previously, she was a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and senior staff research engineer at Motorola's Applied Research Center, Schaumburg, IL. Jingjing holds a Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, advised by Prof. Yap-Peng Tan, an M.S. from Vanderbilt University, and a B.E. from Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST), China.

Her research interests include product recommendation and search, Large Multimodal Models (LMM), multimedia, and related areas. She received the Best Paper Award from the IEEE Transactions on Multimedia in 2016. Jingjing serves as an Associate Editor for several journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (TMM), Signal Processing: Image Communication, the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, and the Visual Computer Journal (TVCJ). She was the Technical Program Co-Chair of VCIP 2022 and ICME 2024, and the Tutorial Co-Chair of ACM Multimedia 2024. Additionally, Jingjing has held roles as an Area Chair for AAAI from 2021 to 2025, WACV 2022, ICASSP 2022, and ICIP from 2018 to 2021, as well as ICME 2019. She is actively involved in the IEEE community, serving as a member and sub-committee chair of the IEEE Image, Video, and Multimedia Signal Processing Technical Committee (IEEE IVMSP TC), and as a member of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) Visual Signal Processing and Communications Technical Committee (VSPC TC) and the Multimedia Systems and Applications Technical Committee (MSA TC). Jingjing is a senior member of IEEE.
