Overview

This graduate course concentrates on the discussion of emerging Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile systems, technologies and applications. After reviewing traditional embedded sensors systems, a set of emerging IoT techniques will be in-depth discussed. Also, the course will discuss recently research work on mobile  and IoT systems, particularly focusing on smart health and cyber-security applications. By the end of the course, students will learn how to evaluate (i.e., performance metrics) and design mobile and IoT systems.

If you are interested in Embedded Systems, Internet of Things and Mobile/Wearable Systems, this course is highly recommended.

Course Credits

You can take this graduate-level course for 3 credits. Everyone needs to present a topic once and participate 1 research project.

Note: Each project needs 2-3 members. Projects are innovative and clearly-defined, and expect to have publications in the end. If you are looking for research opportunities in IoT and Mobile Computing, please this course is highly recommended.
